The Ballad of Marion Blew (7) Ash Boy
The ash boy, is called Askeladden
He speaks of resilience, treachery, and humility
For he was forsaken, by his own blood, and succumbed to submission
His older brothers relinquished him to the stables, deeming him not fit to save the princess
But no more will he suffer in the hands of nepotism
As he is now emancipated
He conquered adversity with wit, where his siblings had failed
Outsmarted the dragons, and saved the princess
It was foretold in his dream, the turquoise stone would assist
It gleamed in his minds eye, and in his wake he went out.. into the field
He harvested the stone, from wet soil, with his own weathered hands
And has now passed on the stone, to Marion in distress
To restore the balance, diffuse the hysteria surrounding the holy note...
Gifted with this exquisite rock, Marion makes haste into the dreary wet and dark expanse of the field
Large strides are made, and imprinted in the dirt, the march is on...
